We take having
fun seriously, so we take teaching
baseball seriously. Because
it's not fun if you don't know how
to play. If your child does
not know how to play we will teach
him; if he knows how to play we will
teach him how to play more
efficiently and to develop
leadership skills.
CYO/MYB is
503C non-profit organization. It is
a self-governed youth baseball
program, associated with the
Catholic Youth Organization. The
league is comprised with families
from all neighborhoods and
religions. Every Family that joins
must have 1 parent volunteer to help
the league.
We offer 3 separate programs
which run in the Spring, Fall and
Winter. Each are committed to a new
way of teaching sports, in a safety
first environment. Our staff
of instructors teach a skill clinic
prior to every game - They start
with demonstrating the drill, then
watch the Parent Managers and
Coaches teach the drill - if a
player does not execute correctly
the Instructor will show the parent
how to correct the player.
This way the parent learns how to
teach while the player learns how to
play.
We teach fundamentals, teamwork,
sportsmanship, ethics, life lessons
and decision making through
baseball. The program is a step by
step process teaching different
aspects of the game each year
starting with six-year-olds through
seventeen year-olds. When a player
reaches the teenage level they are a
confident and knowledgeable player.
First and foremost is our motto: To
teach baseball while a game is in
progress in a fun and nurturing
environment so that a player has a
positive baseball experience and
develops a love for the game, in a
safety first atmosphere.
